Holistic Equine Courses has been created for owners that are new (or experienced) to horses.

They can assist owners in making informed decisions without weeding through the conflicting information on the internet and create an understanding of various aspects of owning horses and what our equine friends require.

The horse industry is a very conflicting place, everyone has an opinion about something, which is great for any industry but it leaves new horse owners in the dark of what to do. What is best for your equine and for you.

I created these courses to help weed through the information, the contradictions from one person to the next and to help you make an informed decision on how to take care of your equine.

These courses give an outline of what is involved in horses and by no means are they a concise dictionary of everything equine, but they do give you a sound basis, knowledge and somewhere to start on your journey.

Created for understanding

Like any subject there can be many things on the internet that can cause confusion to new owners, it is important to take all of the information we find and make our own decisions. Our courses give you understanding on various topics which can leave you feeling like you have a sense of knowing what is the best option to take for your situation

Learn the basics

Learning the basics is just as important as learning about the more advanced aspects of a subject. All of our courses start with the basics and move through to the more advanced.

Learn at your own pace

All of our courses have no time frame and are completely online, you can complete them at your own convenience.

Claudia and Horse

Hi, I’m Claudia Franks

I have been around horses for 10 years, I got my first horse without knowing what was involved and I found it difficult to find useable information, there were so many conflicting ideas about what should and shouldn't be with horses, ranging from their diet through to how to put a saddle on.

I decided to research as much as possible and constantly being interested about how the smallest thing can change the horse, even down to just walking into the paddock, they are complex animals and I am still fascinated by them.

I completed my barefoot trimming course with Australian Certified Equine Hoofcare Practitioner (ACEHP) in 2018 and then was one of the first people to complete the TAFE course Certificate III in Hoofcare. In these 2 courses I learnt about communication with horses, diet, environment, movement and many other aspects of horses and how they operate.

During this time I also started my hoof trimming business Natural Animal Therapies which was quite successful however I have always wanted to impart my knowledge about equines.

I have created Holistic Equine Courses to assist new and existing horse owners with providing a collation of my knowledge in an easy to read and understand format.
